#19 Nature Connections March

Nature Connections for March

Picture of the Month

I love plants, flowers, trying to grow them and keeping them alive. SO far I've done really well.
These are some of the plants I keep in my dorm.

Over the weekend I rode my bike around the neighborhood, I got quite wet and muddy because we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground and things were starting to melt making the roadway wet.
Since everything was still under snow I couldn't find any new shoots coming up from the ground. So here is a picture of my cat waiting for me when I got back from my ride.

I did drive to one of our clients houses hoping that they night have something different considering they live on the water and there would be less snow. The snow was gone and the grass was trying to turn green in some areas and there was a few buds on the surrounding trees. And the sea plants by the rocks had turned green. But with the freezing cold sea breeze nothing was starting to full out grow yet.

For my last activity I decided to go for a nature walk. I thought that between my two parents houses I would be able to find some sign on nature and spring between all the snow.
In my findings I saw lots of birds like turkeys, and chipmunks running around. You could hear the trickling of water as the snow was melting around me, the backyard at my dads house didn't have any snow so you could feel the squishing of the wet earth beneath my feet and the smell of damp earth when I walked.
