I decided to create a planet that models after the planet Earth. But they would have some polar opposites. My planet has a north and south pole. This is where all of the arctic animals live in peace. There are science centers located at each pole so scientists can research and care for all of the different animals.
There are land masses similar to earth but they are each their own Eco system. One of the large islands is the tropics, another the wetlands, and land systems that see all four seasons. Winter, spring, summer and fall. I've chosen to have my planet be inhabited by humans but everyone is Eco conscious of what they do and they try to live off the land. Grow their own food, make sure that the climate of their planet is taken care of. There is very few instances of violence on my planet but outbreaks do occur. Each land mass is broken up into different continents and within those are countries. The governments that rule are for the people and by the people. They take in account the land, climate, and the animals that live there. This is one of the polar opposites of how it is like on planet Earth.
The oceans will be filled will all types of aquatic sea life and plants. The tropics will have rain forest animals, the wetlands will have bog and warm weather animals. One animal that you will see in every part of the land masses and waters is penguins. These animals have been able to adapt to the different ecosystems and live harmoniously with the humans. Some are even pets. Humans will have the choice of having cats, bunnies, dogs, penguins, fish or parrots as pets.
First I took a regular bouncy ball that had a Frozen print on it and spray-painted it with a white spray paint made to stick on rubber. After that had dried I applied different colors of blue paint to create the oceans. I let this sit to dry next to the wood stove to dry.
Next I outlined and painted my two polar land masses in white and then added a touch of gray paint to give it dimensions. Once the white paint dried I added a silver glitter paint on top.
Next I outlined in a small paint brush in green what I wanted my land masses to look like before I painted them in with different colors of green.
Lastly I painted over the blue oceans with a clear paint that had blue glitter and blue metallic flecks in the paint. This will give the ocean a shine, and make it and the green land masses stand out more on the ball.
